Through cases, students not only get introduced to the concepts, frameworks and theories but also get exposure to the managerial challenges and in the process, they learn the approaches to understand, analyze and resolve managerial issues. However, as managerial issues are situated not only in the organizational contexts but in broader socio-economic-political-cultural contexts – ‘standard cases’ don’t always work to give students the required exposure. Hence, as the complexity in the business environment increases in a connected global economy, the need for cases offering exposure to varied contexts is ever increasing.

With the rapid emergence of post-Soviet Central Asian economies, surfaces the growing need for teaching cases on businesses in Central Asia primarily for two reasons. Reason one, the young generation who are poised to lead the growth and success of countries in Central Asia must understand the local business contexts and its connection to the global scenarios. Reason two, in a connected global economy, the multinational organizations (and the practitioners in those organizations) must understand the Central Asian context. Under such scenario, exists a clear gap — number of teaching cases on Central Asia is almost negligible. Being one of the leaders of Management Education in Central Asia, NBS has rolled-out SRCC with the motto to “Start and Lead the case study movement in Central Asia not only catering to the sub-continent but also acting as a critical window of knowledge exchange with the rest of the world.”[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][ultimate_heading main_heading=»Plan for 2019-2020″ spacer=»line_only» spacer_position=»middle» line_height=»2″ line_color=»#c31f1f» line_width=»200″ main_heading_margin=»margin-bottom:20px;» spacer_margin=»margin-bottom:20px;» margin_design_tab_text=»»][/ultimate_heading][vc_column_text]
